You Asked About Assisted Lymphatic Therapy....

What is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system is a critical yet often overlooked component of human physiology, comprising an intricate network of vessels, ducts, and nodes that regulate fluid homeostasis and immune function. This system transports lymph—a clear fluid containing immune cells, proteins, and waste products—between tissues and the bloodstream, acting as the body’s primary mechanism for clearing excess interstitial fluid and combating infections. Lymph nodes filter pathogens and toxins, supporting immune surveillance and response, while lymphatic vessels facilitate the removal of metabolic waste, maintaining tissue health.

At Vital Lymph, we recognize the lymphatic system as the “information highway of the immune system,” pivotal for vibrant health. Dysfunction, such as protein deposits or blockages from surgery, injury, or environmental toxins, can impair lymph flow, leading to tissue congestion and compromised immunity. Our expertise ensures this vital system is optimized, supporting your body’s natural capacity for resilience and recovery.

What is Assisted Lymph Therapy (ALT)?

Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) at Vital Lymph is an advanced, non-invasive therapeutic modality designed to restore optimal lymphatic flow using the state-of-the-art Lymph Drainage XP2 machine. This technology employs Argon, Xenon, and Krypton noble gases, where Argon and Krypton decongest lymph by dissociating trapped proteins, and Xenon supports hormonal balance to enhance systemic wellness. Administered in 50-60 minute sessions within a private therapy room, ALT combines high-frequency electrical waves, vibrational energy, and light to break down lymphatic congestion, liberating stagnant fluid for filtration and reabsorption.

This precise, painless treatment, performed at Vital Lymph by trained professionals, targets protein blockages in the interstitium, ensuring efficient lymph drainage without discomfort. By addressing the root causes of lymphatic stagnation—such as surgery, inactivity, or toxin exposure—ALT enhances immune function and detoxification, offering a scientifically grounded complement to integrative healthcare protocols tailored to individual physiological needs.

Why ALT?

Vital Lymph’s Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) is a cornerstone of integrative health, offering a sophisticated, evidence-based approach to optimizing the body’s natural detoxification and immune processes. This therapy leverages cutting-edge XP2 technology to address lymphatic congestion, a common underlying factor in numerous health challenges, by restoring fluid dynamics and cellular health.

Unlike manual techniques, ALT’s non-invasive, technology-driven methodology ensures precision and consistency, making it a preferred choice for those seeking advanced therapeutic interventions. Conducted in a professional clinical setting, ALT sessions provide a calming experience while delivering measurable physiological benefits.

By enhancing lymphatic circulation, Vital Lymph empowers clients to achieve sustained wellness, supporting the body’s intrinsic capacity for healing and resilience. This therapy is ideal for individuals pursuing comprehensive health strategies, offering a tailored solution that integrates seamlessly with existing medical protocols to promote long-term vitality and systemic balance.

Hi, I'm Naima

With nearly 25 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, I expanded my practice to include Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) after recognizing its significant therapeutic value. In 2010, I completed advanced training with Rightway Health and Wellness, earning certification as a Lymphatic Therapist.

ALT works at the body’s foundational level by enhancing cleansing and detoxification, which in turn improves responsiveness to other medical and therapeutic interventions. In simple terms, it helps everything else work better—whether that’s other treatments, recovery, or simply feeling healthier day to day.

I’m truly excited to share this powerful therapy with others and help people experience how good their bodies are designed to feel!

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon after surgery can ALT be done?

As soon as they feel comfortable getting up and moving after surgery. The sooner you can begin ALT, the sooner you can boost the immune system to spur healing.

Can infants & children get ALT?

Yes, starting at 3 months old. Sessions will begin more superficially and slowly work down.

Can someone with acute infection get ALT?

No, not until the infection has been treated and they have been cleared by their physician or practitioner.

What gasses are used in ALT?

Argon, Xenon and Krypton are the gasses used by the XP2 machine. Argon and Krypton decongest lymph and Xenon balances hormones.

What should I take after an ALT treatment?

We suggest a mineral water and electrolyte enhancement, such as Dr. Jen's Refuel to help aid in detoxification and enhance hydration.

Can someone with compromised kidneys benefit from ALT?

If a client's kidneys are not working well, then ALT would put too much pressure on the kidneys. Ozone sauna would be more beneficial since the kidneys are compromised.

How does ALT breakdown scar tissue?

By transmitting a high frequency vibration into the tissue. This will bring extra blood flow into the area which can in turn help relieve pain and speed up healing. In scar therapy, this high frequency is used to break down the fibrous, collagen rich tissue that forms at the site of scars.

The fast vibration of the XP2 contributes to making the scar tissue more elastic, which in turn can restore range of motion and reduce scar pain or irritation. XP2 therapy can be effective both during healing and after scar tissue has formed and hardened.

Can someone with a protein C deficiency and who had blood clots in the past get ALT?

Protein C deficiencies increase the occurrence of blood clots so clients with a history of blood clots should have a clear ultrasound as well as 30-45 days on a blood thinner before having ALT. There is a possibility of the therapy dislodging the clots otherwise.

Is liver cirrhosis a contraindication for ALT? Can patients with liver cancer do ALT?

Liver cirrhosis is not contraindicated for ALT. Patients with a liver cancer diagnosis benefit from ALT tremendously. Frequency could be increased to twice a week for several weeks or a standard once a week schedule is appropriate as well.
